Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This policy is required by the Washington My Health My Data Act and covers consumer health data only. Everything else we collect is described in our Privacy Policy. Pocket Mom is run by Cloud Path Strategies LLC, doing business as Pocket Mom.

What consumer health data we collect, and why

We collect these categories:

• Health appointments and conditions you tell us about. When you add an event and choose a health occasion — a checkup, a procedure, or a scan or test — we store that choice and its date.
• Information about bereavement. If you mark a funeral, the anniversary of a loss, or putting a pet to rest, we store that and its date.
• Your mental and emotional state. The feeling you choose when you create an event, and the feeling you tap when we check in afterwards, including that you felt nervous, sad, overwhelmed, disappointed, frustrated, or happy.
• Whether you are facing a day alone, if you mark it that way.

The purpose is to provide the service you asked for and nothing else: to know which day to check in on, to choose which pre-written message to send you, to show you your own calendar and saved messages, and to email you if you have asked us to. We do not use it to advertise, to profile you, or to train any model.

Where we collect it from

One source: you. Every piece of it is something you typed or tapped in the app. We do not buy health data, receive it from data brokers, obtain it from health providers, or infer it from your browsing, your device, or your location.

What we share

We share the categories above only as far as running the service requires — your stored events, feelings and messages, and the text of emails sent to you.

We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it for advertising, and we do not disclose it to anyone for their own purposes.

Who we share it with

Service providers who host or deliver Pocket Mom and act only on our instructions:

• Neon — database hosting, where the data is stored.
• Vercel — application hosting, which runs the code that reads it.
• Resend — email delivery, which handles messages we send you.

We have no affiliates. We may disclose data if legally compelled, or where necessary to protect someone's safety.

Your rights, and how to use them

• To see what we hold and who we shared it with. Use Export my data in Your Corner for an immediate copy, or write to us.
• To withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of your consumer health data.
• To have it deleted. Use Delete account in Your Corner, which permanently removes your account and everything attached to it, or write to us and we will delete it and tell our service providers to do the same.

Write to privacy@mypocketmom.com. We will confirm within 45 days, and may take a further 45 days where the request is complex, in which case we will tell you why. We will not charge you or refuse you service for asking. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and if we deny the appeal you may complain to the Washington State Attorney General.
