Privacy Policy

Pocket Mom is run by Cloud Path Strategies LLC, doing business as Pocket Mom. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

The short version

• We collect the events you add, how you said you felt about them, and your email address.
• We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising.
• There are no analytics, no trackers, and no third-party scripts on this site.
• You can download everything we hold, or delete your account outright, from Your Corner.

What we collect

Only what the app needs to do its job.

• Your email address. It is how you sign in and how Pocket Mom reaches you. There is no password; we email you a one-time code instead.
• A display name, if you give us one.
• The events you add: the kind of day (such as work, health, a holiday, or a loss), the occasion you picked from our list, the date, how you said you felt going in, whether you marked it as one you are facing alone, and when you would like to be checked in on.
• Your check-in answers: the feeling you tapped afterwards, and when you tapped it.
• The messages Pocket Mom sent you, and any you saved to the Mom Vault.
• Sign-in codes, which expire, and a record of when your account was created and when check-ins were delivered.

We do not ask for your real name, your address, your phone number, or your date of birth, and there is nowhere in the app to type them. We do not take payment, so we hold no card details.

Some of this is health information

If you add a medical appointment, mark the anniversary of a loss, or tell us you felt sad or overwhelmed, that is health information about you, and we treat it that way. Washington residents have specific rights over it, and those are set out separately in our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Why we collect it

To run the product you signed up for: to know which day to check in on, to choose what Pocket Mom says, to show you your calendar and your vault, and to email you when you have asked us to. That is the whole list. We do not use your data to build a profile of you, to train anything, or to advertise.

Pocket Mom's replies are written in advance

Every message you receive was written by a person ahead of time and picked from a set based on the kind of day and the feeling you tapped. Your events and feelings are not sent to any AI service, and no outside model reads what you wrote.

Who else touches your data

We keep this list short on purpose. These companies host or deliver the service and act on our instructions:

• Neon — hosts the database your information is stored in.
• Vercel — hosts the website and runs the code.
• Resend — delivers our email, so it handles your address and the text of messages we send you.

Nobody else. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted ads. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety.

Cookies

One cookie, to keep you signed in. It is set when you log in and lasts 180 days unless you log out. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click.

How long we keep it

• Check-ins are deleted after a year. The question we asked, the message Pocket Mom sent, and the feeling you tapped are permanently removed one year afterwards, automatically. You do not have to ask.
• Your events and your Mom Vault stay until you remove them. They are yours, and the vault in particular is the part people would be upset to lose, so we do not quietly clear it out. Delete an event from the calendar or an entry from the vault whenever you like.
• Sign-in codes expire within minutes and are deleted once used.
• Unanswered check-ins stop being shown after about two days.

When you delete your account, all of it goes at once — your events, check-ins, saved messages and sign-in codes — immediately and for good.

A message you saved to the vault stays even after the original check-in is deleted, because the vault keeps its own copy. That is deliberate: saving something is you telling us to keep it.

What you can do

• Get a copy. Export my data in Your Corner downloads everything we hold about you as a single file.
• Delete it all. Delete account in Your Corner removes your account and everything attached to it. It cannot be undone.
• Correct it. Change your display name or email address in Your Corner. Delete individual events from the calendar, and individual saved messages from the Mom Vault.
• Stop the emails. Turn off the before-check-in email in Your Corner.

Depending on where you live you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict how we use your information, and to complain to your data protection authority. Write to us and we will help. We will not charge you or treat you differently for asking.

Children

Pocket Mom is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the account.

Security

Your connection is encrypted, and so is the database. We sign you in with a one-time code rather than a password, so there is no password of yours for anyone to steal. No service can promise perfect security, and we are not going to.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
